The New Yorker : 21-04-2008 Spots

Sorry for writing in english but mon francais, c'est mal. I saw these tiny drawings by floc'h in the new yorker and was immediately attracted to them for the way they play with words and text. I have really enjoyed looking over your website and seeing his other work, but I want to know: are there other places where he plays with words like this?

Thanks so much for the great documentation. I searched on french amazon for his work and would like to research more of his work that deals with proper noun wordplay....

Hello, Thanks for your visit and your comments. As far as we know, there is no such use of words in the work of Floc'h. These tags here were first used for the cover of a book dealing with travel and they represent the old tags that were stuck on the luggages and coffers.
If you look for Floc'h work on Amazon you will indeed be able to find many things. Either comic books (which represents most of his printed work) or two books called Floc'h illustrateur (1 & 2)that present his illustration work for the advertising, for the magazines, and for the movies.
Come back anytime and we hope this blog will help you discover more of his art.
